Deliver Us Mars will be expanding upon the strengths of its predecessor, and fans can expect a more engaging gameplay loop this time around with better exploration options and clever puzzles among other improvements. KeokeN delivered an excellent adventure in the form of Deliver Us the Moon, and fans are naturally curious about the next project from the developer. The base game released on January 20 this year, so interested fans can already try it out. The developer has delivered just that with the subsequent release of Monster Hunter Rise on PS4 and Xbox One, and the Sunbreak expansion for the same is set to follow soon. Monster Hunter Rise enjoyed a great critical and commercial reception on the Nintendo Switch, and naturally – fans on other systems wanted a chance to experience this latest entry in the long running saga. This is why so many developers are still choosing to release their games for PS4 and Xbox One, and this feature will detail 25 such games. While fans have been treated to plenty of compelling experiences on these new platforms, the transition period hasn’t been the smoothest largely due to the pandemic affecting development cycles for games and global semiconductor shortage causing severe supply issues for these machines. On the contrary, I am excited but there's so little to go on so I thought I'd like to discuss about what others think.It has been more than 2 years since Sony and Microsoft released the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, ushering a new era of console gaming. It's not complaining, it's not even negativity. All we have is our own speculation on what might've happened during these past years and in the end, the State of Play might've given us more questions than real answers. It still looks good, but what is happening behind the scenes? And here, I was speculating if it has changed. There's a lot of unanswered questions and the devs haven't explicitly said, well - anything. That was the only thing we got and now this. There's also the fact that in one Sony conference (I think), it was stated that it would be released this summer. I didn't back it in Kickstarter, I only learned about it in that Sony Event, but the way it has been drip fed is weird. Little Devil Inside is a smaller game, or it at least begun as one, and they planned to release it more than five years ago. Perhaps it is being treated different also because it's not AAA sized game, like say Hogwarts or Suicide Squad, where it happens quite often that you don't get much for a long time. There's a lot of discussion on it and I think it's mostly because of how little we know and how excited players are. I wasn't complaining? I was speculating on how the game has evolved? What do you think? Do you think it's scope has grown bigger when Sony came along or do you think / worry that its more about a troubled development? They did mention in the PS Blog post that they are still ironing out the traversal, which tells us that there is work to be done. This for me is one of the biggest things that I'm hoping for it and I kinda think that if it exists, then multiple characters also have to exist so it isn't only about "Billy". Sure, they just might talk about one character in a more general sense so that it is easier to follow it, but I am uncertain if this is it.Īnother feature that hasn't been shown (ever, I think), is the promised co-op, the Kickstarter promising even local co-op. Why I think this might be absent, is that they heavily focused on "Billy" as the main character here. Both are mentioned in this December 2017 interview.Īt this point, they had permanent death in the game and when you die, you need to interview and recruit new characters with their own stats. However, I kept wondering a few things that were once mentioned as features of the games, that we haven't seen at all. Perhaps most crucially, it seems to have Sony's support, which I personally believe to be one of the reasons why it's taking longer and longer and perhaps that it's scope has grown. One of the platforms listed there was Wii U, so a lot has changed. If you look back at the game, it got its funding from Kickstart in 2015, when they told they were aiming for a 2016 release. Seeing the new State of Play trailer, I wondered if the game has evolved from its intial concept.
